We are currently offering high quality Grass hay, Alfalfa and Grass-Alfalfa mix hay for sale.
Our hay does not have any sand-burrs, milk weed, fox tail, or thistle. Since we have our own machinery we can do small batches to beat the rain storms and produce premium hay.
We use a moisture tester while baling and to check the quality of the stored bales.
Our bales are 14" X 18" and twine tied. The Grass is a Brome/Orchard mix
We pick the bales out of the field with a stack wagon almost as fast as the baler drops them. It is rare for the bales to stay on the ground in the field more than an hour.
We normally protect our hay in this 40' X 112' barn with more hay storage in a 60' X 80' totally enclosed barn (Next picture).
Some hay is stored on pallets. None of the pallet stored bales even touch the ground so there are no "Bottom Bales.
We can load Semi-trucks with a minimum of effort by using a tractor mounted bale 'grabber'.
This is a load of Grass hay headed for the Denver area. We do NOT deliver. You can check the Internet Hay Exchange for truckers. Click on "Transportation Directory".
Our private road is built for Semi-truck weight and comes directly off of the Black Top road in the back-ground.
We are located near the town of Crawford in western Colorado. Nearby towns are Hotchkiss and Paonia here in the North Fork Valley. Crawford is roughly 30 miles east of Delta and Delta is between Grand Junction and Montrose.
Most trucks headed for Denver enter and leave the North Fork Valley via McClure Pass turning off of I-70 at Glenwood Springs. Some of our hay goes south-east on Hwy. 92 to Gunnison and beyond. Hay headed for Arizona normally goes via Moab, Ut.
